M&A Director
A Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Director is a specialist role in a large private equity-backed organisation and will often operate at the C-1 level responsible for the scoping and delivery of corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Core competencies for this position are an understanding of financial markets and business strategy, coupled with advanced negotiation skills to guide their organisation through sometimes complicated transactions.
The M&A Director will typically identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, performing thorough due diligence to assess the financial, operational, and legal viability of a deal. They work closely with cross-functional teams such as finance and legal, in order to deliver the regulatory and compliance requirements associated with the transaction. Beyond the technical aspects of the deal, M&A Directors may also play a pivotal role in managing the integration process, ensuring a smooth transition.
