CFO Finance & Commercial Healthcare
Chief Financial Officer
CFO (interim and permanent)
Compass Carter Osborne was engaged by Renaiss Health, a PE (Bridges Fund Management) backed startup, focusing on sustainable physical rehabilitation created to support people who are preparing for or have gone through elective surgery, or just can’t live with their physical restrictions any longer, to source a CFO for the business. CCO were initially engaged to secure an interim headcount, which subsequently saw them deliver the permanent candidate too.
The highly specialist nature of the role meant that deep real estate sector knowledge was essential to ensure timely opening of the rehabilitation centres and effective development of the business infrastructure.
Reason and Purpose:
The newly created CFO would join their lean operating team to help build, deliver, and open their centres at a very exciting time, namely at the incubation phase – with multiple workstreams in development, as they work towards the first centre opening in early 2025. This was a true start-up, creating an opportunity for an eager CFO to leave their mark. This means not only sourcing and developing the properties they will operate from, but also defining, designing, and building every element of the business infrastructure, from systems and processes to brand building.
Search Process / Methodology:
CCO undertook a thorough research process which incorporated our established network, as well as identifying organisations with direct real estate element within the healthcare space.
The timeline from briefing through to client interviews took 8 weeks, with key sectors identified across Food and Beverage; Healthcare and Affiliated Services; Hospitality; FMCG; and Retail.
Outcome
Compass Carter Osborne successfully completed this project within the allocated timeframes, appointing a Chief Financial Officer that closely matched the brief set by Renaiss Health.
