Reason and Purpose:
The Chief Commercial Officer would be accountable for devising and executing a commercial development strategy and detailed plans to realise the in-year and strategic growth ambitions of PreventX.
A critical purpose of the role is to develop the commercial, marketing and business development capability and processes within PreventX to realise the shareholder’s ambition.

As a result of our previous relationship with the current Chief Executive Officer, CCO was invited to a competitive pitch where the team were able to demonstrate the key attributes PreventX were looking for in a search partner.
Methodology:
Compass Carter Osborne undertook an intensive market research based search exercise, focussing on specific sub-sector owing to the clients’ niche identity and particular hiring need.
A rigorous assessment of these markets produced a shortlist of candidates coming from various backgrounds including diagnostics, single speciality healthcare services and digital technology healthcare businesses.
Outcome:
A unanimous decision was reached first time by the leadership team, with the successful candidates offered, accepted, and started within 3 months from the original date of being invited to pitch for the mandate. Such was the strength of the shortlist, that a new headcount for an International Development Director was created to facilitate an additional hire.
