Adam Carter named HealthInvestor Power List 2026 finalist for the second year running

Compass Carter Osborne (CCO) is delighted to announce that Senior Partner Adam Carter has been named a finalist in the Consultant category of the HealthInvestor Power List 2026. It is the second consecutive year he has been recognised.
The Power List is organised by Nexus Media Group, publisher of HealthInvestor. It honours the most effective, inspiring and influential figures across UK health and social care, from operators and investors to the advisers who support them. The Consultant category recognises consistently impactful, high-quality advice that benefits both clients and patients.
Adam is one of 13 finalists in the category. He sits alongside leaders from some of the sector’s most respected strategy and advisory firms. Among them is Henry Elphick, Non-Executive Chair of our parent group, Compass Recruitment Solutions (CRS). That makes this a proud moment for the wider Compass family. The winners will be announced on 3 December 2026 at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
Recognition from the investment community
For CCO, being shortlisted carries real weight. HealthInvestor’s readers are the investment community we serve every day: private equity houses, lenders, boards and management teams across investor-backed healthcare, social care and specialist education.
Adam has spent his career appointing the leaders who drive growth and value creation in these businesses. Before CCO was formed, he led the executive search boutique Carter Schwartz. It joined CRS in 2024 and combined with Compass Executives to create Compass Carter Osborne. Today Adam works with investors and boards on chair, CEO, CFO and wider C-suite appointments. These often come at the moments that matter most: a new investment, a turnaround, or preparing for exit.
Being named a finalist again shows the trust clients place in Adam’s work and in CCO’s approach. We believe great appointments come from understanding a business and its investment thesis, not from following a set process. We are results driven, not process led.
A strong year for CCO and the Compass group
This recognition caps a strong 2026 for the group. In June, CRS was named Recruitment and Executive Search Firm of the Year at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026. That builds on CCO’s win as Executive Search Firm of the Year in 2024.
