Compass Carter Osborne was retained by LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare to source a Chief People Officer. The business had recently secured investment from Aurelius, a pan-European investment fund and were seeking to provide the new the CEO with a strong senior management team. In addition to this, the CPO would lead and create a new retention and attraction strategy, whilst professionalising and modernising the existing people function.
Reason & Purpose:
Newly created SLT role in the org chart for the business. The purpose of the role was to create an HR function that was a true business partner to the wider organisation and was driving significant value across all facets. Additionally, the role would lead on creating a new retention and attraction strategy.
Search process / methodology:
CCO has a well-established network of CPO’s and HR Directors, so was able to utilise this quickly to introduce a small number of candidates into the process immediately. The research function alongside this, led an comprehensive sweep of the immediate and adjacent sectors to generate additional candidates.
The team focused on PE backed businesses and individuals who could demonstrate that they had delivered in fast-paced, multi-site environments that are heavily regulated.
Outcome:
Sharon Benson was placed as the CPO, she joined the business in 2023 with a fantastic track record across the wide healthcare sector. She has delivered a number of complex and high-profile HR transformation projects during her career.
