Board CEO Healthcare

Chief Executive Officer
(CEO)

Bluecrest was founded as a start-up in 2012, funded by an angel investor. In 2019, that investor exited via a private-equity transaction, while both cofounders rolled-over their interests alongside Vespa Capital to further grow the business, with a goal of another transaction within 5 years.

Bluecrest provides affordable health assessments to both private individuals and corporates with an interest in the health of their workforce.  Positioned as a disruptor to the health screening industry, Bluecrest’s unique business plan ensures flexibility and competitive pricing for the end customer whilst maintaining close margin control.  Health checks are made available in flexible locations across the UK and Ireland, performed by professional medical staff at around 10,000 convenient clinics in over 400 locations.

Reason and Purpose:

This was a critical succession planning hire for Bluecrest with their longstanding and successful Co-Founding MD planning to depart, coinciding with the private equity owners also approaching a critical funding event.  The incoming CEO needed to display previous PE backed multisite healthcare delivery experience with Bluecrest wishing to bring in someone with proven M&A experience to support their long-term growth agenda.
